Tina was a remarkable woman.
She gave us so much happiness, This is the least we could do in her memory.
From Alex J. Cavanaugh:
In memory of Tina Downey, the A to Z Team is hosting a sunflower tribute on September 8, 2014 – Remembering Tina Downey.
Prior to that date, purchase or plant a sunflower in her honor. (If you have to resort to plastic, that’s cool.) Take a photo of your sunflower and post in in her memory on Monday, September 8. Tina loved her sunflowers, and we want to splash the blogging world with sunflowers that day and honor a truly amazing woman who was friend and family to so many.
You can sign up now or add your link when you post your sunflower.
Please help us spread the word! Add Tina's motto #LifeisGood as hashtag and share about this blogfest on all social media platforms. Let’s brighten the Internet with sunflowers the way Tina brightened the lives of so many.

Thanks, David! (I also added #lifeisgood to the badge for Twitter.) We are going to paint the Internet yellow that day for Tina.
ReplyDeleteSadly, I didn't get to know her, but she seemed like a nice lady and I noticed her commenting on Jeremy's Facebook a lot...
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice way to celebrate her life with us.
ReplyDeleteShe had a lot of joy she spread.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful tribute.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really nice thing to do. I signed up.
ReplyDeleteI thought so too.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot on the list, she touched a lot of peoples lives.
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful gesture and I'm sure her family and close friends will appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteWe can also strive each day to be as kind and brave as Tina, too. :-)
ReplyDeletelike I said it is the lest we could do.
ReplyDeleteI always loved her blog title Life is Good.
ReplyDeleteShe was kind and brave...
I didn't know her but she must have been one of a kind. This is a very kind thing to do, David. Every kind person's death saddens me. Today my neighbor told me he's going to die in a couple of months and there's nothing the docs can do.
ReplyDeleteTina was special. Sorry to hear about your neighbor. At one time my dad's doctors told him he had months to live, but lived another five.
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh… thanks, David, for spreading the word!!! You are wonderful. And Tina is dearly missed. All of this is so heartbreaking. :(
ReplyDeleteIt is truly amazing how many she touched...
ReplyDeleteAgreed! :(
ReplyDeleteIts always a shock when good kind souls leave us and then they're gone. It happens so fast its almost too hard to believe.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right sir...
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely tribute.
ReplyDeleteI know she would love it...
ReplyDeleteI am not dealing with Tina being gone... she was a great, great... awesome lady and people will all know... Tina's family will know...
ReplyDeleteAs much as we miss her I can't imagine the pain her family is going through.
ReplyDeleteHeartbreaking. Such a lovely lady. And such a lovely tribute, David.
ReplyDeleteIt will be a yellow Sept 8th.
