I joined the IWSG to help myself find the courage to write again. I never thought that through this I would find so many like minded friends in the blogosphere!
Today I would like to share some of the fine people that have helped and encouraged me.
I have to start with the person that is the man with the plan. I came across Alex before I ever started blogging. I kept seeing his comments pop up on different sites that I visited. He contacted me to see if I had a blog so he could follow me. At the time I was just following different people and wasn't writing. He, unbeknownst to him, had planted a seed.
Chrys Fey has been giving advice on writing at Write with Fey since 2012. She has a wealth of knowledge on her blog, and she answers everyone who asks. I found Chrys through a blog hop I had joined. Every since then I give her a hard time with my silly sense of humor.
Lynda R. Young
Lynda is my favorite Aussie! She is an integral part of the Insecure Writers Support Group. Her wit is only matched by her advice. She is full of useful tips and joy!

Roland has a way with words that few have, and he is eager to share with those who are willing to read. He posts something just about everyday, and sometimes several time a day!

Do you know my writing friends?
Where and who do you go to to find help?
Aw, you are so sweet! I hadn't expected to see my name in your list. I think you made my day. Now I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy. Whenever I pop in you bring a smile to my face. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to make your day!
ReplyDeleteSmiles are free, too bad coffee can't be!
or chocolate... let's not forget chocolate! ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks, David! Just a dude with a blog and a website - and lots of clones.
ReplyDeleteI follow all three of the others and your assessment of each is correct. Lynda is a big part of the IWSG site. Chrys does know her stuff and Roland has been a great blogger buddy of mine for years.
Now - keep writing!!!
I'm so glad you mentioned all of them. I followed them all under my other blog but not sure I follow them under this one (except Alex - I know I'm following that mad man!). They are all great! Thanks for reminding me.

ReplyDeleteThey definitely are an asset.
ReplyDeleteThere's my Lynda!
ReplyDeleteLynda is a chocolate Lyndzilla :)
ReplyDeleteNo Aussie is better!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice idea, Mark. You're why this group is so wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI am honored to be included in such company. Alex must have clones! He does so much. Lynda is a special lady. And Chrys is magical as befitting her last name. I am just a weary rare blood courier, but I appreciate the kind words! :-) Sam tips his Stetson your way and Alice blows you a kiss.
ReplyDeleteI know all your writing friends. And yes, they're awesome and inspiring!
ReplyDeleteI love the first Wed! Being able to go to all the different people that have such great ideas.
ReplyDeleteHA! Fey!
ReplyDeleteAs long as Alice keeps her distance I'm fine!
It realy helps to have those that you can learn from.
ReplyDeleteI do know many of your writing friends. It's so great to meet up with other inspiring writers online that, otherwise, you may never have met at all. And it's great that you've thanked them in this way.
ReplyDeleteIt is the least I could do to spread the word that there are those who wlill take the time to help.
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by Angeline!
Fine people, all! Fighting discouragement is the greatest challenge for me and, I expect, many writers.
ReplyDeleteA great group David and congrats on the next step! I can't wait to hear what you're coming up with.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to have others to lean on.
ReplyDeleteWell I was going to try out for the new Star Wars movie...they are asking for ugly people to audition!
ReplyDeleteYou sure have a an amazing team there! Having the right mentors really makes a huge difference when starting out online. I've missed you, dude! Love the A-Z, but miss making my regular stops whilst flitting about trying to visit hundreds a day...thanks for sticking with me!

Thank you so much, David! This definitely did make me smile, and laugh. I'm honored to make it on your post and to be listed among other great bloggers. And I like your silly sense of humor. Your comments always brighten my day. :D
ReplyDeleteOh, Roland, you are definitely worthy to be mentioned here. I'm happy to be listed with you, and the others. :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. I choose Fey for my pen name because it meant magical. ;)
I can't imagine visiting so many!
ReplyDeleteI have enough of a problem keeping up with all the blogs I follow now.
Awesome group of people! I love hearing about all the people who inspire others.
ReplyDeleteGlad to oblige. It is always makes my day to make others smile!
ReplyDeleteVisiting through the IWSG link. You listed some fine folks there. Lynda and I both help Alex with the IWSG site. And of course, Alex is the glue that holds the blogging world together.
ReplyDeleteThere are more, but I might be here all night!
ReplyDeleteAlex the ninja with his clone army!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting!
nom nom nom!
ReplyDeleteaw, you guys...
ReplyDeleteHow could I not stop by to visit a blog with such an intriguing title? Wow, your artistic world is full of color and colorful people and secret worlds and dark, mysterious corners, and strange, wonderful events. Thanks for sharing. I wasn't disappointed!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Stop by any time.
ReplyDeleteYou're a good judge of character, David. You quickly find the best of the best. I'm not sure I know Chrys Fey, so thank you for highlighting her and the other superstars. I'm going to pay her a visit now.
ReplyDeleteCheers.
