An epic rebirth to Toho's iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, pits the world's most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity's scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.
Gareth Edwards directs "Godzilla," which stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson ("Kick-Ass"), Oscar® nominee Ken Watanabe ("The Last Samurai," "Inception"), Elizabeth Olsen ("Martha Marcy May Marlene"), Oscar® winner Juliette Binoche ("The English Patient," "Cosmopolis"), and Sally Hawkins ("Blue Jasmine"), with Oscar® nominee David Strathairn ("Good Night, and Good Luck.," "The Bourne Legacy") and Bryan Cranston ("Argo," TV's "Breaking Bad").
What did you think?
Are you going to go see the King of Monsters?
This is the film I'm most stoked for this year! Grew up with Godzilla, especially living in Japan, and can't wait to see a Godzilla that rocks. And Gareth is an awesome director.
ReplyDeleteCAN'T WAIT!!!!
ReplyDeletedid i scream like a fangirl?
One of my friends told me recently she used to date Godzilla and that it didn't end well :)
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine why? ;-)
ReplyDeleteCool trialer! But bad Godzilla for messing up the Statue of Liberty!
ReplyDeleteIf you look closely it is actually the one in Las Vegas.
ReplyDeleteI guess that makes it ok then?
This is 100 times better than the first film. I'm totally stoked now! The roar sounds perfect.
ReplyDeleteGOOSEBUMPS!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe acting alone should help carry it way farther than the last American fiasco.
I will probably pass on this one. I can think of a few friends, though, who will be interested. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteIt takes me to my childhood of watching a guy in a rubber suit, fight another guy in a rubber suit. It was magic.
ReplyDeleteI'm really hoping that they don't mess this up. I so want to see a good Godzilla movie. The 1999 film was a disaster.
ReplyDeleteSo far it looks as if they are being true to the original.
ReplyDeleteWe don't talk about the 1999 movie, it was a Jurassic Park rip-off.
So much carnage!
ReplyDeleteThe sfx look mighty fine. And who doesn't love mass destruction?
