Doctor Who: How Doomsday Should Have Ended

Via HISHE
For Doctor Who's 50th
 How It Should Have Ended
payed tribute to Bad Wolf Bay's
Parting of Rose and the Doctor.
Watch it after the Jump.

In Doomsday the Doctor send a holographic image of himself to Rose who is in a parallel universe, to say goodbye and that he....
He is cut off from finishing his sentence. Rose never gets to hear how the Doctor feels for her. It was an emotional ending to a companion who might possibly  have had a romantic fling with the Doctor had they not been separated.

Apparently on Thursday they will have more Doctor Who tomfoolery!
Here is the original to compare it to.

What did you think of the video?
Is it better than the original?

  1. That was funny. Fading in.. fading out...
Guess Dr. Who is as frustrating with relationships as X-Files was.

  9. My wife always seems to know things before me.
I must be oblivious to what is going on in my own life some time.

  10. That is better. Full disclosure... I can't stand Rose! I like, really, all of the companions who've come since much better.

  11. I think it was the age thing for me. She was a teenager falling for a 900 year old Time Lord...
    LOLITA!

  12. OMG, I should NOT have watched the original again. It's date night and now I have to redo all my make-up! I thought the alternate one was HILARIOUS. Loved the spoilers thing...As to Rose herself, I liked her well enough until I met Amy Pond. Donna Noble drove me NUTS, but man that girl can act. Her last scene channeling the doctor while still being herself and saving the universe was AMAZING.

Thanks so much for putting me in your blog list! I'm honored and thrilled. I'm trying to use your
GFC to follow you (thanks for putting that up too!) but it keeps telling me to come back later! GRR...but once I get that I can finally put YOU in my blogroll. Lastly, I have NO idea why the soft kitty video is in the corner of my comment...I mean, it was in a recent post...but really?

  15. I liked Amy better than Rose. It might have been that we first meet her as a child, or that she was as crazy as the Doctor half the time. Jeremy [retro] did my site work and I am eternally grateful.

  25. Rose isn't my favorite, but I know a lot of fans adore her. (My wife included. :) My perfect ending might've included a Dalek and "someone" getting disintegrated--and I don't mean the hologram Doctor fading into the beach. ;)
