For those of you doing the A-Z more power to you! As I was preparing for this post I came across IWSG or International Wool Study Group. I found it quite amusing that it was a real thing.
Here is the link I found detailing the ins and outs of this organization. It is a great read if you need to get some sleep....
*IWSG*
This got me to thinking. If there was a group that studied how to dispose of wool after WWII, why not study writing now? I don't consider myself a proficient writer. Heck, I barely have time to post my blog and visit all my blogging friends, but if we take the time to learn from each other it would be Awesome!
If you can listen this for 10 hours then go for it! You might have an Awesome day!
Wool studies. I wonder how much those cost the government?
ReplyDeleteAnd there are so many awesome writers willing to share what they know. We should benefit from them. And that's part of what today is all about.
I play with Google sometimes, and saw this.
ReplyDeleteI love first Wednesday!
there's something slightly disturbing in a lamb wearing a woollen sweater!
ReplyDeleteIt is called redundancy!
ReplyDeleteI cannot tell you how hard I'm laughing right now. That awesome song is just rolling and rolling and rolling. Ten hours? Seriously? Too much. Whew. Funny.
ReplyDeleteOkay, so, I thought maybe you were joking about the IWSG, but no, there it was. I got about three sentences in before I quit reading. They are going to wonder why their hits went up today! haha

You're fool of wool, Mr. Walston. This thing's really about the Intergalactic Whirligig Stress Gage, which naturally studies the effects of time dilation in the event of watching paint dry.
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious that you found another group with the same initials. I didn't post for the IWSG today because I thought my post was too long already...You're so right about the team thing...that's why I enjoy being a co-host so much!

Ever since I saw the movie, I sing that song in my head all day long!
ReplyDeleteI never thought of the toll I would take on their web site.
I am so thrilled to have found that out. I like to smell the paint dry.
ReplyDeleteYour post had pastries it could never be too long!
ReplyDeleteI thought you were just making it up. Love the sheep in the "comfy" wool sweater!! No ten hours of that song though!!
ReplyDeleteGreetings human, DAVID,
ReplyDeleteI knew it was true. And they are real baaaad...Of course, my deluded human thinks that "IWSG" means "I Was Seeking Gary." Off to LegoLand in Windsor, England.
Penny, the pawsitive host of the Alphabark Challenge, 2014!
The song will never leave my brain!
ReplyDeleteHI, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar and happy host of the Alphabark Challenge, 2014
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid it is Sheepish to think otherwise.
That is too funny! I have no other words for you, David. Your post has left my brain powerless. haha :P
ReplyDeleteYep. The Awesome song is stuck in my head now, so I'll be sure to have an awesome day!
ReplyDeleteYou have my permission to eat peanuts and take a power nap.
ReplyDeleteAWESOME!
ReplyDeleteI love that song! haha
ReplyDeleteI bought the soundtrack and now that is all my kids want to listen to in the car.
ReplyDeletelol, I don't think I'll be listening to that for 10 hours... ;)
ReplyDeleteMaybe it could be done as a team effort! I'll take the first 3 seconds... ;)
If I remember correctly, the World Wildlife Federation and the World Wrestling Federation had a similarly confusing mixup several years ago.... the guys in spandex are now the WWE. Go figure.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to look into that.
ReplyDeleteTake it for the team!
ReplyDeleteI never knew why they changed. I haven't watched mens soap operas in a few years.
ReplyDeleteWho knew that the wool industry had such a group with the exact same letters! Had to laugh when I saw this. Have an awesome weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen. It just popped out at me.
