Shall-we-play-a-game?

I have never done a Video Game review before, and I am not a gamer. The only systems I have ever owned are the original Atari, NES, SNES, and N64. My son has a Nintendo 3DS, and for christmas he received from Santa a new game called Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure. He doesn't have access to the his 3DS unless mom or myself allow him to check it out from our room. Since school started back up he has not been able to play it for reasons I will not go into. Lets just say his behaviour dictates what he can, and cannot do. This has left me with an opportunity to play it more. I mean it does sit on my side of the bed on the night stand. It beckons me to play like the sirens song...

I am a DC comics guy. I like Marvel, but love DC . I currently am collecting the new 52 Batman, so when my son got this game I knew I would like it. On christmas day he played it so much that he went to bed with a headache from squinting at the screen all day.(He should of wore his glasses like his daddy told him) I am giving it a go now. It imcompers the whole DC Universe. I know it misses some characters, but there are so many that it realy doesn't matter. Here is a Infographic that shows you some of the numbers in the game.

Here is the blurb for the game:

In Scribblenauts Unmasked- a DC COMICS™ Adventure, Maxwell unites with BATMAN™, SUPERMAN™ and the rest of THE JUSTICE LEAGUE™ to restore order to the DC Comics Universe!

Challenge your imagination as you battle the mightiest villains in an exciting and action-filled adventure through GOTHAM CITY™, METROPOLIS™, ATLANTIS™ and other iconic locales from the DC Comics Universe.  Enjoy endless replayability with new, dynamic puzzles that feature a different mission every time you play.
Bring out your inner super hero (or villain!) with the all-new Hero Creator by crafting completely original objects out of parts of existing DC Comics characters. Then assign unique properties to your creations and use them to solve puzzles, or share them online with friends – which they can use in game or further modify as they like.
Maxwell has a magic book that whatever you write in it comes to be. So if you come across a person who needs help you type in either a noun to make an object appear, or you end up using a lot of adjectives. Not only does the game have gobs of characters to chose from, but it has an incredible vocabulary. When you spell a word that it does not recognise it has a autohelp that spouts out five pages of words that you might want. I had to look some of them up, not that my vocabulary is superb, but what is used is above my sons 12 year old verbiage. To me it is a good thing. It allows you to use your imagination, while learning new words.
